ReadyNAS can't play WAV files

Hi to all ,

My Readynas duo v1 won't play WAV files and I was wondering whether anyone has had similar issues ?

Just to add I can play wavs from my PC to my device in a wired connection. This means all devices are connected via a router. There is no problem with any device it seems to me just the nas won't play the wavs but will play most other file types.

cheers..

The ReadyNAS can't actually play anything.  It can stream files, and allow SMB/AFP access to files.  I am thinking you are talking about streaming (ReadyDLNA)?

WAV files are a bit deceptive - they can use a wide range of sampling rates, and they also can be compressed.  It would be helpful if you use mediainfo to analyze the WAV file and report the results here.  https://mediaarea.net/us/MediaInfo/Download  It is ad-supported (but it does give a good analysis).  Select the text view, and cut/paste the analysis.
