After Memory test (30 passes, 999 errors)
So now the unit is up and running and everything seems to be fine.
999 errors in the memory test says it's not fine. The OS reinstall doesn't affect the memory test software, since it is built into the flash.
Are you running the stock memory, or did you upgrade it at some point?

Still original memory module. (So far the housing untouched.)
The curious thing is that OS reinstall did not work for a long time, but suddenly it did again.
Update: Did overnight Memory test again last night: 30 passes, 0 errors. Also udated both Bios (was V1.6, is now V2.0) and OS (4.2.30 to 4.2.31), just in case. Disk test running again now, also just in case: so far so good (81% done).
Any qualified guesses to how reliable this machine might be in a production environment?

I'd be mildly concerned that it might misbehave again. My own Pro-6 is now a backup NAS, I use a newer RN526 as the primary NAS.

Thank you, StephenB for your input!
