Shrink/Reduce disk space in LUN

Hi,

We need to reduce the space used by an iSCSI LUN.

We are getting a message saying the volume is degraded as capacity reached less 10% availability.

Can you please help?

Regards

If you have snapshots enabled on the NAS, you should delete some of them.

I know of no way to shrink a LUN.  This isn't a ReadyNAS restriction btw, it's a limitation of iSCSI itself.  You'll need to back it up (using the client machine), delete it, and then recreate it.

It's easier to manage space on the NAS if you use thick LUNs, since the storage they use is fixed.
