Start all over
hi there.. if i want to put in a new harddisk in my Readynas duo, which allready got movies on. Will they be deleted when i start the nas or will it just install the os and dont delete anything?

If you using the default xraid2, you want the drives to be the same size.
If you start with a 1 TB drive, you can add a 2 TB. But you are wasting space (you end up with a 1 TB shared volume with redundancy)
If you start with a 2 TB drive, the system will not let you add a 1 TB.
You can use jbod (flexraid), which will let you create two volumes (one on each disk). Then you'd have 3 TBs total, but wouldn't have any RAID protection at all. Generally new users are better off with the default xraid-2.
