My CAX80 started acting up

My CAX80 started acting up yesterday as well. No idea what changed but devices on 2.4 Ghz would work fine. Anything on 5 Ghz was sporadic connecting to the internet. Very frustrating when you work from home and have to be on conference calls. I tried several things to resolve the issue, but the only thing that worked was flashing an older firmware version to it. It auto updates every night which is frustrating, but at least I am able to work again. 

  • Once it updated to the latest firmware 5.1.1.8 again over night, I was able to disable the Protectrion Engine and that appears to have resolved my issues.
