Understanding Anti-Virus on the ReadyNAS 6.10.2
Hello,
I have a new 626X ReadyNAS I am setting up for a small business. I have enabled anti-virus on the shares I am creating. I see from the docs that anti-virus only scans new files that are created using SMB. I ran a test robocopy to put some files on the ReadyNAS device. Afterwards, I noticed in the logs that some files were flagged by the Anti-virus scanner. The message was "System: Antivirus scanner found a threat (threatname) in the file filename. Please delete the infected file soon". So, is there no auto quarantine for the AV scanning? Is it up to me to keep a keen eye on the logs and manually monitor the found threats and delete files myself? The docs speak of an app called Anti-Virus Plus, but I do not see that as an available app in the Apps tab. Thanks!

Hi pielab,
Yes, you have to manually delete the files. There is no auto quarantine for the ReadyNAS anti-virus scanning.
The Anti-virus Plus app is not available anymore because it stopped working after we change our anti-virus provider to ClamAV.
