iTunes Server add-on kills firefly?
Just installed the iTunes Server add-on after searching the forum when itunes server stopped working - and firefly is no longer visible in the ReadyNAS Duo streaming services. I can see the iTunes server in iTunes, but it fails to load any songs. Help!

- Try to re-install the iTunes add-on and make sure that it is enabled in the frontview.

- r_robearAspirantHelp required please as I have tried following the various threads and Itunes is still not picking up the firefly db.
I have a Netgear Ultra 4 [X-Raid2]
Firmware: RAIDiator 4.2.19
Have installed iTunes Streaming Server
v1.0.3
My Macbook Pro Leopard 10.6.8
Itunes Version 10.5
Issue 1: After restarting Firefly it scans and shows 134724836 songs.. which is not correct. When this was working i had 35,000.
Issue 2: Related to the above issue Itunes on My Mac will not connect to the Itunes Server - message "Loading Itunes Server" then it disconnects..
Help please.
Thanks

Then install 1.0.3 update again.
If that doesn't fix it:
1. Note down your Firefly configuration
2. Do a OS Re-install, then install this add-on: http://www.readynas.com/download/addons/x86/4.2/CleanITunesConfig_0.1-x86.bin
3. Then apply the 1.0.3 update again.
4. Then manually reconfigure Firefly (it will be reset to default settings)
Welcome to the forum!
Edit: If that doesn't fix it the next step would be to look at the log for Firefly and if necessary clean the config again and change the debugging level. - erenaeonAspirantI can generally are, and have not encountered this situation.
- corriglionniAspirantI was having the same issue. No iTunes from my Nas after iTunes 10.5 upgrade. I just removed the Firefly service and tried to reinstall iTunesServer_1.0.3bin file. I get the following error message "ERROR: start-stop-daemon -S -q -x /usr/sbin/mt-daapd" and the update fails. System info: ReadyNas NV+ Sparc running RAIDiator 4.1.8 [1.00a043] . Im running the latest OS X Lion on my macbook pro and iMac. Any help would be great.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe 1.0.3 add-on is an update add-on. It only contains what needs to be updated and requires that you have Firefly installed. Please do an OS Re-install (http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu#duo_nv_nv_x6600) then install http://www.readynas.com/download/addons/3.01/CleanITunesConfig_0.1.bin via System > Update > Local, then attempt to install the 1.0.3 update again.
- corriglionniAspirantI had this issue and just went through all the steps of firmware reset, reinstall the latest update, install the clean config, turn off/on firefly and to no avail. I read on a mac forum that you could create a new folder on the media share, move all the music to that folder and then add the new folder to firefly. I tried this, but after a scan it still shows 0 songs in the firefly admin panel. So I tried renaming the default directory in the firefly admin panel from /c/media/Music to /c/media/Tunes with Tunes being the name of the new folder in the media share. When I hit apply I get this error message Error: 500general:mp3_dir. Any thoughts?
Hardware/System info:
Readynas NV+ sparc
RAIDiator 4.1.10 [1.00a043]
Thanks.
