ssh connection with putty crashes after login

Hi all,

I'm very slowly starting to set up my NAS server (ReadyNAS 104, OS 6.5.1). I would like to be able to connect to it via ssh to be able to debug things (e.g. owncloud). I would like to use putty from a windows machine and I have enabled the SSH in the settings. However putty crashes everytime after I insert my admin password.

I checked old discussions and it seems that I should install enablerootSSH but I cannot find it. Maybe because it is already integrated in this version of the OS...

thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, it is integrated, and you haave enabled it.

The username you need with putty is "root", using the NAS admin password.  Is that what you are doing?
