RN104 shows "prepare_creds+2c" after update to 6.5.1
(I posted this yesterday but it seems to have disappeared so apologies if it this is a duplicate post.)
I have 2 x RN104. Upgrading from 6.4.2 to 6.5.1 using the Admin page in IE worked fine on one of them, the other is stuck on rebooting with the power button flashing and this error on the LCD display: "prepare_creds+2c"
Is it safe to power off/on and see what happens or is there some magic trick to make it work?
Thanks.

If the issue occurred during firmware update process, you can try to contact NETGEAR Support.
You can try to press the power button to see if it's responsive and tell you to press one more time to gracefully shutdown.
If the NAS is unresponsive, I'm afraid the first thing you need to do is power cycle, not much else to do.
Maybe you could try an OS Reinstall from the Boot Menu, it doesn't touch the data volume, only the OS volume and reset some settings, such as network config and admin password.

Thanks for the reply. I've powered off/on and tried reinstalling the OS from the boot menu but still no good. I'll contact support now.

On seconds thoughts I won't contact support, as I bought it in December and the 90 day support period has expired. The support website won't even let me send them an email. I'd have to pay £85 for a year's phone support and the NAS was only £150 to start with!
I'll have to try installing the firmware via USB and hope for the best.
