SSD drive use
We are in the process of rolling out a number of ReadyNAS units. We buy the ReadyNAS device and install our own 'garden fresh' disks and then configure.
Our disks have typically been enterprise grade units and the cost and MTBF are acceptable.
We are now considering the use of SSD in place of typical rotating disks since the cost curve is starting to approach rotating storage.

Which ReadyNAS models are you deploying?

It depends on the location -- RN312, RN316 and RN314.

There are some benefits to using SSDs with the 300 series, but obviously bigger benefits to using them with a NAS with 10G such as the RN526X or RN626X.
