ProSafe SRX5308 How update firmware 3.0.8 to 4.3.4 by old CLI

Hello, community!

I have a problem. I want update firmware 3.0.8 to 4.3.4, but i can't, because web-interface tell me about "error SSL vertion" (tried: FireFox, Chrome, IE 11). When I used console-cable, I see CLI with old commands (I found manual CLI to this device model, but they didn't work). Based on this I have some questions:

How to connect by web-interface? or How to put on device new firmware by CLI with old commands (I think this CLI is cut UNIX)? (interested commands syntax) or Maybe someboby have manual CLI to firmware 3.0.8?

P.S> Excuse me for my English. :smileyhappy:

  • Hi DaneA,

I tried your variant with TFTP. It didn't help. Maybe the 'root' pass , not 'admin', is needed, but I don't know it.

I've found a solution: used a PC with Win XP & IE 8 on board, connected via web-interface, updated the firmware and voila - it's alive!

    Thank's for your help. :smileyhappy:

    Hi sjosy,

    Welcome to the community! :)

    Kindly answer the questions below:

    a. Have you tried using other PC/laptop then tried to access the web-GUI of the SRX5308 via a wired connection?

    b. Have you tried to perform a factory reset on the SRX5308 then try to access its web-GUI?

I look forward to your response.

    Regards,

      Hi DaneA,

      a. Yes. The result is the same.

      b. Yes. It's the first thing I did, because an authorization data lost.

        Hi sjosy,

Let us try to power reset the SRX5308.  Here are the steps below:

        1. Disconnect the SRX5308 from your existing network and make sure its turned on.  Get a straightened paper clip.

        2. Insert the paper clip to the factory defaults hole then press and hold the factory reset button inside it for 30 seconds.

        3. After 30 seconds, turn off the SRX5308 while you still continue to press and hold the factory reset button.  Wait for 5 seconds.

        4. After 5 seconds, turn on the SRX5308 while you still continue to press and hold the factory reset button.  Wait for another 5 seconds.

        5. After 5 seconds, release the paper clip from the factory reset button.  Wait for the SRX5308 to boot up properly.

        6. Connect a PC/laptop directly to any LAN port of the SRX5308 then try to access the web-GUI.

        Let us know the results.

        Regards,
