Netgear A6210 internet drops
So, I just got the Netgear A6210 network adapter for Christmas because I was having problems with my old one and it works great but the only problem is I'm getting internet drops randomly for like a ...

Hi All,
I can confirm that the issue is in the netgear driver.
The Netgear A6210 uses the Mediatek MT7612U chipset.
Using the Medatek driver fixes the issue immediately - available here:
http://www.mediatek.com/en/downloads1/downloads/usb/
Steps:
1. Download Mediatek driver
2. Uninstall Netgear driver / genie
3. Unplug usb wireless adapter
4. Install Mediatek driver
5. Plug in usb wireless adapter
Extremely frustrating considering Netgear released an update to their driver on 20-Nov and this issue has been ongoing since January.
Cheers

I just installed that driver. Although windows 10 wouldn't let me so I had to use admin CMD prompt to get around that.
Hopefully that will solve my problem. Every so often I would only loose my browser connectivity, P2P would still work but I think Steam would go down too. So weird. Anyhow it seems that with this driver I cannot get the 5ghz signal to show up so I am limited to 2.4ghz. Anyone know how to fix that issue?

As an update I have used the Mediatech driver for awhile now and I still get the same problem. Not sure what is causing the issue. Maybe its a windows 10 thing or maybe its the router itself. Its just that I don't loose p2p so what could cause only the browsers to drop out?

Hi mate I cannot figure this out at all..
I download the software.
I have uninstalled both the genie and the driver, in doing so removes the software.
Install the new Driver.
Connect the genie, but it wont recognize the device and fail to install.
Install using software and reload.
I can only assume it is using the original driver.
This is frustrating alright.

I'm having this problem too on Windows 10... used the Genie software.
I thought it was my internet connection, but the disconnect co-incided with another disconnect to my local network.
What's the status with this?
