So, i have the extender setup and 2.4g is connecting to the internet but 5g says no connection. I was on the latest firmware 1.0.1.112 but reverted back to an older version with no success. Any ideas why I can use 2.4 but not 5g??? Next steps?

that "no connection" you see on the status page? That means there isn't a device (phone/tablet, etc) connected to the extenders 5ghz.

What is the ide reverting to an older firmware version please? Re-introducing security vulnerabilities or loosing the ability to use the simple basic https support added on .112?

Probably the 5 GHz band was not configured properly, or the existing WiFi router handling the 5 GHz band config was changed?

As usual here, factory reset the EX7000 to the default config, and reconfigure the unknown to us connections to the primary Wi-Fi router from scratch again. Consult the fine documentation FMI.

What router do you have?
What method of setup did you use?

I have done the factory reset and updated back to the latest firmware, but it still only shows 2.4 as connected to the internet and not 5g

Re: AC1900 WiFi Range Extender 2.4g work but 5g says no connection
Thanks I see your point. I can connect to the 5g from the basement maybe because it's farther away from the router?
But I can't connect to the extender by choice when I am upstairs closer to the router. Not sure I understand it all but it works for those devices farther away
