Convert DG834Gv4 from router to repeater
I recently purchased a TP-Link Archer D7 which as I using as my main router and want to convert my old DG834 to an extender/repeater. I am having problems setting up the modems to comunicate with each other via wifi and I don't want to use an ethernet cable. I am not a computer expert so 'simple' instructions on how to set up each machine would be great.
Thanks

Re: Convert DG834Gv4 from router to repeater
Hi ecky,
Please see documentation on DG834Gv4 for more information on Access Points. Page 30 of 168 summarizes some of the Wireless Access Point settings.
There is also a discussion similar to your question: https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers/Using-DG834G-as-a-second-router-access-point/t...
Let us know if these steps work for you.

Re: Convert DG834Gv4 from router to repeater
Hi nhann,
Unfortunately It's not the netgear 'extender' that's the problem. I have downloaded the info from your link but I can't find how to create the settings as shown in the document with my master wifi router TP-Link Archer D7.
If you could help it would be great.
Thanks

Hi ecky,
If the issue is with the TP-Link, it may be best to contact their support for help on setting it up.
