EX6150/AC1200 WiFi range extender

I have a Virgin Media super Hub 2 which has both 2G and 5G bands.

 

In the past my extender has worked with both bands, connecting to each seperately  and then broadcasting each seperately 2G_2GEXT and 5G_5GEXT. However, recently I noticed this has stopped working. Whilst I can connect to the 2G channel with WPA2-PSK security I cannot select the same security option for the 5G channel (even though that is what my router is using).

 

The extender pre-selects WEP security in the automatic mode and in manual selection mode it won't connect.

 

I have done countless factory resets and firmware is up to date. Appreciate any help

    Welcome to the community!

     

    1. Please indicate the firmware version of the extender.

    2. Are you able to complete the setup procedure when keeping the options as they are?

    3. Are you able to modify the wireless settings for the 5GHz on the extender UI after the fact?
