MyWifiext.net connection
It's working and configured but when an attempt is made to bring up the WEB-based settings interface - while connected to the extender via ethernet or WiFi - it fails with the message "not connected."
Thus, it appears that the the WEB settings interface (MyWifiext.net) is available only after the unit is returned to default settings, when the WEB page did respond. Can someone confirm this, please?

Re: MyWifiext.net connection
Hello borate
Have you tried to connect to the extender by using the ip address that the router assigns to the device? you can typically find it in the attached devices tab in your router settings.

Re: MyWifiext.net connection
Was not able to locate the IP address via router settings. Was able to connect to the extender and request its address - which wouldn't connect. No message, just a time out. Thanks.

Have you tried to connect directly to the extender using ethernet connection and then try to log into it using http://www.mywifiext.net

Re: MyWifiext.net connection
Absolutely. That also did not succeed, except after the extender was reset to the default. Only then could I connect via WiFi and bring up the NetGear interface.
