Netgear Genei shows EX6200v2 as not connected to internet but it is

Hello,

I saw this posted a couple of times but no meaningful answers. I have a EX6200v2 configured as an AP. Today I was checking it for something and noticed that it says I am not connected to the Internet.

Except I am, and everything is working fine on both of the AP's networks.

So why does it report this?

Note: I have the most recent firmware update and back when I installed the new firmware I did a factory reset both before and after. Also, not a clue how long it has been reporting this as I haven't check the Netgear Genie in a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Dave

  • Dexter,

    Thanks for your reply.

    • Firmware Version: V1.0.1.72

Yes, it shows up in the router, but I think I resolved it.

I had given the Extender a static IP address. It appears to not like that. Once I put it back to dynamic, the problem went away.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hi DeeBeeEff,

    Welcome to the community!

    1. Please indicate the exact firmware version of the extender.

    2. To confirm, does the extender show up as an attached device when you check your routers' UI?

    Regards,
