Hi
I’ve just setup a Nighthawk AX8 Router which seems to be working pretty well.
I got an EAX80 to go upstairs to boost the speed/coverage. Can this be wired as I have Ethernet to the room it’s in. I tried to set it up but it wouldn’t set with the Ethernet cable in so had to do wireless.
Wireless seems to be working but I’d prefer wired to reduce Wifi traffic and use the full speed wired connection from the router.
Any way to do this?
Thanks
Mark

You can hardwire in the EAX80. You just need to set it up in access point mode.

Re: Nighthawk RAX80 with EAX80 Extender Wired
I set this up as per the instructions yesterday and all seems to be working however the nighthawk app is showing the extender as being connected over Wifi. That said it was also saying my wife’s iPhone was over Wifi yesterday so not very reliable!
Is there a reliable way to confirm?

I'm not to impressed with that app.
I prefer to log in through the browser and watch the status page.
