Unable to log into access Point AX 1800

I set up my access point from cat 6 line in a bedroom. Now I moved it to the ceiling in another room(another cat 6 connection) Now I'm unable to log on with the IP address or APLOGIN.NET. The password and ssid  is the same as the home Wi-Fi. It seems to be working fine. The 5g and 2.4 lights are blue which indicate it's working with clients. But was just trying to log in and change a couple items.   Do I have to reset the AP. And just to clarify, I'm dumber then a box of rocks when it comes to the techie stuff.

Log into your primary router and check to see if it didn't assign it a different IP address.

The primary router assigns that and it might not have used the original

Thanks I'll try that but how do I sign into my router.  I have a NETGEAR nighthawk with the app but doesn't go into the router settings

Figured how to log into router. 👍👍

  • It sounds like your access point might have a different IP address now that it's connected to another room. You don't necessarily have to reset it. Try these steps first:

    1. **Find the new IP address**: Use a device connected to your Wi-Fi and look up the connected devices list in your router's admin page. It should show the new IP address of your access point.
    2. **Use the new IP address**: Enter this new IP address in your web browser to log in to your access point.
    3. **Use APLOGIN.NET**: Sometimes, accessing it by typing "aplogin.net" in your browser's address bar can still work.

If these steps don’t work, you might need to reset the access point to its factory settings and set it up again.😀
