Unplugged my extender and im not longer able to connect to 5ghz network
I setup my extender i used in a dorm to connect to my new network but after it had a worse signal i decided not to use it. Now when i try to connnect to the 5ghz network it says it cant. I try connecting on my phone, It prompts a password input and then when i put the correct password in it says its the wrong password.

I'm a bit confused so just asking for clarity.
You put you setup the exetnder but had worse signal so you decided not to use it.
did you then reinstall it?
Or what 5ghz network are you connecting to?
Or did you move and are connecting it to a new setup?
Whats actually going on and what router are you connecting it to?

Im no longer using the extender and im trying to return back to my original router network. The 5ghz is directly from the router. I just moved and its another wifi router so i set it up for the new router and didnt work so i went back to using only the router and i cant connect to the original 5ghz network

whats your old router?
Why do you think the extender is impacting your device if the extender is off?
