Wired Ethernet on EX3700
Hi,
I have an EX3700 Range Extender. The WiFi extension is working, and has improved the signal in the far corner of ther house from the router. However, I cannot get my desktop to connect through the Ethernet port to the network.
I have tried setting a static IP and DHCP, but nothing seems to get though the extender to the router (which is the DHCP server).
If I set a static IP, I do see the device in the Wired Devices list on the router config page (accessed from a phone). The MAC and virtual MAC appear correct, and the device does appear in the router's connected device list with the expected IP and the MAC (the virtual MAC in the extender settings). However, there appears to be nothing happening on the connection. I cannot get any ping on the LAN interface of the computer at all, not to the router (192.168.1.1), not to the extender, not to anything. From the router, I cannot ping the computer either.
If I set DHCP, the DHCP request just times out.
I can't see any settings in the EX3700 controls to do with the LAN port. How should this be set up?

Normally you'd just connect the cable to the PC (unless the extender is in access point mode of course).
The ethernet is fast ethernet (not gigabit) - you might want to confirm that the link speed on the PC says that. Maybe also try a different cable, and if that also fails.
A long shot (perhaps worth trying) is doing a factory reset on the extender. The PC should then be able to connect to the extender's setup wizard over the ethernet connection (though you might need to disconnect/reconnect it, in order to get a fresh DHCP address).
