help connecting n300 to router

hi i just got a n300 network extender and i tried to set it up but as i followed through the steps and set up on the website the network extender never connected to my router and when i go to the status page it would say "network extender is not connected to the router" or something like that.

    Do you have the routers wireless security set to WPA2?

        Hello issamatar

         

        I would try to factory reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10 seconds then try to setup the extender again.
