wn2500rp connecting with username and password
Hello,
i have a wn250rp range extender and i'd like to know whether it's possible to connect to a wifi network that requires for username and password. I have not found any way to insert the username.
When trying to access the network via mobile or laptop i am always given the option to insert username and password but from the configuration form of the repeater i a am able (or it seems to me) only to insert a password.
How can i achieve this? is it entirely possible with this extender?
thanks

For the extender to connect to a network it will show you a list of detected nearby networks, a list of SSIDs. These are the network identifies, and all that should then be needed is the WiFi security key or passphrase, there is no ‘User ID’ required in that process.
The most common cause of a request for User ID and Password on a WiFi network is where 802.1x Authentication is in use, is that the case here?

Yes, that is most probably the case, is there a way to connect the repeater to such network?
thanks

I can see nothing in the User’s Manual that mentions 802.1x authentication and I would expect that it would need that option to associate with the base station, so it seems that it cannot be used to extend an authenticated network. I will check with Netgear to see if that’s the case,
