EX6200 firmware V1.0.3.68_1.1.104 sucks and is slow
So I just updated my EX6200 extender to V1.0.3.68_1.1.104 and my wifi e has dropped considerably as well as the signal range. I can now only get a maximum of 30mbit sitting right next to the extender in access point mode. I downgraded to the previous firmware and my speed and range were back up to what they are sup tposed to be (300mbit). How did this firmware get released without any testing and is there going to be an update to fix this issue?t
Looking around the forum it seems people are having other problems with this firmware. At the very least you should pull it until you get the issues sorted out. Netgear really dropped the ball on this one.

Anyway to force a firmware downgrade? I too had issues with wifi dying after upgrading. I went as far as no longer running it as an extender. I am now wired to my original router downstairs and run the 6200 as an access point. New issue here in addition to yours is that I can not disable the 2.4Ghz network. I only want the access point to run on the 5Ghz network. When I change the config by disabling 2.4Ghz, 2.4Ghz is re-enabled when I hit save. So darn annoying.

Nevermind, I found 1.0.1.60_1.1.98_FW in the download center.
Yes it was a good brand, now it is the worst, since upgrade the 2.4Ghz virtually non existent.. I replacing all my netgear its just impossible to count on. and support , Pfffft utter rubbish.
Netgear needs to fix this, you took a great product and ruined it with this update it can barely function now.

It would appear that this issue has occurred with others also, and Netgear are aware and investigating the problem, but I don’t think it’s occurring with all users.
Netgear suggest that people who encounter these issues should revert to a previous firmware version while a solution is found.
Thankyou for your patience.
