I am trying to connect two of these switches at a distance of 200 meters. Can these switches handle 10G speeds between the two switches if I used 2 matching fiber SPF adapters at each switch or are these limited to only 1G? I know the limit on each Ethernet port is 1G but I can't find what the limits or capabilities would be using the SPF ports on each switch. These units have 4 SPF ports.Solved4.5KViews0likes2CommentsXS708T 10G/1000M Long Auto Negotiation
Hi guys, I have a XS708T 10G switch for communicating to 2-4 ethernet cameras at a time. The cameras can either be 10G enabled or 1G only, but i have noticed during the camera boot up, the auto negotiation of the switch can take minutes before it finalizes on a rate and connects to the PC. This happens even if i force the ports into 10G or 1000M. If i go directly into the PCI ethernet card, camera connects immediately and I have no problem. I do need these to be networked though, but its extremely unreliable at this point. has anybody else seen this, any ideas?3.2KViews0likes3Comments
