So I just recently purchased the Orbi RBK40 router and I noticed you cannot separate the 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi signals through normal methods. I was told that the router has a system or program that automatically pushes the best connection possible. All the devices that support a 5GHz connection seem to connect just fine. However, there are two PS4 Pros in the house and the router refuse to connect it to the 5GHz conncetion. Under my network settings on both PS4 Pro say they are on a 2.4 GHz conncetion. Even under the router GUI it says that it's connected to the 2.4 GHz conncetion. I've been trying to look up methods on how to connect it mannually but no luck. I found a post that teaches how to separate the SSIDs for both the 2.4 and 5 GHz and it worked, however the devices that were connceting to the 5GHz were experincing lag issues and would not have a consistent download rate. I usually average between 145-150 Mbps download when I don't split the SSIDs. However, when they are separate SSIDs, the download ranges from 6-130 Mbps and is never consistent. Not to mention, when the SSIDs are split, the PS4s seems to disconnect from the router frequently. Long story short, is there a way to connect the PS4 Pro to the 5GHz connection?EX2700 and connecting to mywifiext.net
I can't connect to mywifiext.net I can connect from my Android phone to the EX2700's WiFi network, but when I hit that site, I see: { "reset":"1" } So I went into my primary router, found out the IP Address this EX2700 was using, and connected to it directly: http://192.168.1.127 (in my case) And it worked. Is www.mywifiext.net supposed to somehow connect to that IP address??Solved3.4KViews0likes1CommentCan't connect to ReadyCLoud, but connects to Raidar...
Ive had my ReadyNAS 102 for a few years and its worked fine. I have it setup to link directly through ethernet from Rn102 to my iMac. I have the unit setup with Time Machine for my backups, and a month and half ago it said it had to do a new reboot of the unit and start a fresh Time Machine backup. As an aside, i have the new OS Sierra on my iMac. Long story short, the Time Machine can't make a new backup, so i thought i'll log into the ReadyCloud and wipe it and start with fresh drives. However now my computer doesn't see the RN102 through readycloud. The odd thing is is that RAIDAR can see the unit, but readycloud can't find/discover it. I'm thinking maybe the OS Sierra update did somethign wonky....honestly any recommendations are welcome. Hi everyone! Minor problem really but kind of bugging... I have set up my extender in my flat and it works fine - I can now access wifi from the loo ;-) BUT... as I move around my home, I find my phone stays connected to the extender as opposed to automatically connecting to my home router, resulting in a weak-to-non-existant signal. I have to manually switch to my home router in iPhone's settings to access home wifi. As I said, a total first-world problem, but here I am anyway, asking for help! Happy for any tips :-) /Mauricey5.3KViews0likes2CommentsNot connecting to 5GHz ?
I have a Netgear R6250 and unable to connect to 5GHz. My TV recognizes both 5GHz and 1.4GHz, but the 5GHz will not connect. My PC is not even showing the 5GHz in my internet connection box. Called support. They had me rename the 2 router settings as they were in still the default names. This did not solve my issue. Any help sincerely appreciated.SolvedExpand ReadNAS capacity by adding another NAS
Hi! I have a ReadyNAS NV2+, and am rapidly running out of storage space. I looked at buying a new 8-bay NAS (from various manufacturers such as QNap), but these see to be many times more expensive than the ReadyNAS 4-bay units. So, my question is this: can I buy a second ReadyNAS, and link it to my old one to expand the capacity? Ideally, I'll like to link the 2 NAS together to maintain a single volume (rather than having two separate NAS), and have them run in X-RAID2 mode to mitigate HDD failure. Any thoughts on how I can do this (or a more appropriate alternative solution) most welcome! Many thanks in advance!Solved3.3KViews0likes3Comments
