FIOS
2 TopicsFios trouble with C6300 but it does work! Would really like to avoid buying a new router!
Hello, I got a Netgear AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router, "Built-in DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem", Model C6300 about 2-3 years ago. I was using Comcast in my old apartment, but moved to a place with FIOS (internet only). I am on that network as we speak, and my speed test results (from both speedtest.net and Measurement-Lab from Google) show me at 50+ mbps upload and download. However, the network has gone in and out, and it takes a WHILE to show back up. Also, I wanted to change my network name from "NETGEAR75" but I'm unable to log in to my router via 192.168.0.1 or routerlogin.net, the second of which tells me "You are not connected to your Router’s WiFi network." which is clearly false. The network also crashes when I try to connect our new Roku Premiere to the network--it doesn't just not work for the Roku, it knocks out the wifi for the whole apartment, and I need to restart the router! If anyone has any advice here, I would really appreciate it. Clearly the router works on some level with Fios. I'm hoping there's some setting that can be changed to get over these hurdles, and I don't need to get a whole new router or start renting from Verizon again!3.7KViews0likes2Comments
