11 Topics2 x ReadyNas 2120 V2 6.4.1 hangs, Major problems
Hi we have Major problems with our 2 2120 v2's the upgrade to 6.4.0 really caused issue's with the usb drives, we rant he beta for a shirt time which resolved these issue's but then caused the devices to hang when copying large files to them, we have now upgraded to 6.4.1 to see if this resolved the issue's btu the hanging has got worse. we basicly use them for backuping up servers to them using Acronis, then the backups get copied to the usb drive plugged in to the nas each night so we can take them offsite. we have found that when the servers start to backup to the nas it is fine but if we have 3 or more servers backing up at the same time the device will hang. as in we can't even ping it any more. the only resolution is to power off via the switch at the back and power back on. we have also hhad them hang when only one server is backing up. both are doing it, it's cause a nightmare issue with backups as you can imagine. the network cards are not bonded. any help would be appriciated Cheers Tom3.4KViews0likes6CommentsReadyNas 314 with FW 6.4.0: USB problem and buffering problems
Hey there, i just updated my ReadyNas 314 to 6.4.0. Since the update i got two problems: 1. the DVB-S Stick PCTV 462e is plugged in permanently. After booting up, dvblink ist unable to detect the stick. I have to unplug/plug the stick to make the software able to detect it. The stick is active powered by an external power supply. 2. since the update i got buffering problems while streaming HD videos. (lags) Does anyone got an idea what i can do? Best wishes :)3.1KViews0likes6Commentsx-raid2 total usable volume
This has probably been covered 10k times but I've used the online x-raid calculator and it is giving me different usabke data than I currently have. i have a4 bay readynas rn104 with 1x1.5 1x2 and 1x3 tb drives stuck in iit using x-raid. I was expecting 3.5tb usable, minus overhead and os, but it is currently showing 1.8gb usable. Is this because its an arm CPU? Or is it just reporting this size during the sync. Currently at 64%. I don't care much about redundancy as it only holds my movies and TV shows. I basically just wanted a single volume and noticed in flexraid i had to partition each disc as a separate volume. Any suggestions?2.2KViews0likes1CommentIssues since 6.4.0 upgrade on RN516

Hi, My readynas updated just over a week ago to 6.4.0. Since then it has been a little unstable, but I was able to reboot when it became unresponsive. Today I couldn't access the admin page, or AFP/SMB shares. I ssh'd in, and it told me it couldn't enter my user directory, I could see it was deleted. I look in /data nothing is there! I am seriously stressed about this, how can I find out what is happening. The device now takes about 30 minutes to boot. When it eventually does I can see that /dev/md127 is not mounted anywhere, and there is some process doing /dev/md127 resync. Please help! I have problem with RN312, soft 6.2.0 When usb hdd is connected (back port, usb 3.0) system assign network name USB_HDD_1. After restart NAS (or force shutdown) even reconnect this usb drive (hot swap) network name of ubs share automaticly change to USB_HDD_8 (etc 5,11,14). In options: shares, external, settings of usb NAME cannot be changed (this option is greyed out) Question: Whether the name of usb hdd can be changed ? I would like to be able to change the name, as in the case of SATA drives. Because every time the network name of the disk is different and features USB backup disk do not work. SATA drives are functioning properly and topic not apply.2.8KViews0likes2Comments
