Hi,
Thankyou so much for your reply.
Sadly I had worked through this prior to posting :(, I have since read through the documents again.
1 USB does nothing!
Another USB looks like it may do something however the NAS just turns completely off around 40 to 60 sec!
If i read the tech note correctly the usd is picky!! Is there a list of preferred usb venders?
This would help alot.
Note I can telnet to the nas however it requests a username and password that I do not know, then if I did I would not know what to do!
Once again thank you for your prompt reply, however can you asist with USB vender or tftp options
Regards,
Craig

Prepare the USB
- Find a USB that is greater than 256 MB but no more than 32 GB.
- Ensure there is only one partition on the USB.
- Pre-format that USB as FAT-32.
- Identify the drive letter your USB is assigned after formatting.
Besides these, I advise you to use a USB 2.0 stick. And format this USB stick with the usb recovery tool.
