Inactive Volumes
3 TopicsReadyNAS 314 - inactive volumes error.
Hello Netgear Community, So I'm a NAS noob and my home "ReadyNAS 314" has decided to greet me with the following error message. "Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk #1,2,3,4." It's a 4 bay NAS with WD Red 4tb drives in each slot set to RAID5. I've done a fair bit of Googling which led me here. Is there a way for me to get this thing going again or am I potentially out of luck and have lost everything? Thank you.Solved88Views0likes2CommentsReadyNAS 4312 | inactive Volumes

Hi, I had not accessed my NAS for several days I tried to upload some data but my MAC couldn't find the volume? I couldn't log in to admin and checking the front panel it just said DEAD I rebooted and all looked like it came up OK but the volume was still missing, in admin I now have a Data-0 which appears to be my Volume and Data which is 0 in size. The error message says 'Remove inactive volumes to use disk, Disk #1,2,3,4 How can I recover the data volumes I bought a backup several days ago but with the size of data and the fact that it's on Raid5 I haven't had chance to run it. Please help as there are several years of photos as well as development data on there that I need to recover.97Views0likes2Comments
