In M4250 Series i can not make SSH connections between switches or other devices from the switch. This kind of connections is very common, and with others brands it is possible. Only i can do it with telnet…. The isssue is as follow: (Switch)# telnet x.x.x.x 22 Trying 10.80.0.12... Connected to 10.80.0.12 SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_8.0 Connection closed by foreign host.
I own an XS724EM 24-port 10G switch. It runs warm to the touch, and the default fan profile seems to err on the side of low noise rather than cooling. Tech support says that the switch is designed to spin down fans entirely unless a certain temperature threshold is reached. Personally, I would prefer to see more aggressive cooling, even if meant slightly more fan noise. So my feature request is twofold: Basic temperature monitoring (ambient, internal) in the admin GUI. All I want is a simple readout of how warm the switch currently thinks it is. Basic manual fan control in the admin GUI. I'm envisioning something like the "Cool/Balanced/Quiet" drop-down menu (see image) found on ReadyNAS units. I know the managed switches have functionality along these lines. To me, this basic temperature monitoring and control seems like it should definitely be included on Smart/Plus switches too.2.4KViews5likes2CommentsAdd Insight Support for the GS110EMX
As a managed switch with 10Gbe uplink ports it is rather surprising that this switch has not been added to Insight - especially when the GS110TPV3 is supported in Insight and costs half as much as the 110EMX. the 110EMX is a very useful switch to use at the edge of small networks where remote management would be extremely useful3.3KViews0likes13CommentsHow to escalate support case?
I have a support case dealing with my new GS752TPP switches disconnecting from the Insight Cloud. Once they disconnect, they stay disconnected and I can't ping them, access the GUI, etc. The case has been open for about a month with no resolution. The support agent(s) keep asking for the logs from the disconnected switches but I can't get to them (since the switch is showing disconnected and can't be accessed by IP). I would like to escalate the case to the next level. How do I need to do that?2.3KViews1like4CommentsSwitch Temperature Alerts
Please allow for temperature alerts and also custom temperature alerts for Netgear switches. I'd like to be able to have a temperature alert sent to the IT team of an overheating switch while also having an automated email sent to the site manager for their awareness. This feature would be great for Insight-managed switches or any switch for that matter. Temperature alerts are critical and can be a business stopper.1.7KViews0likes1CommentEmail notification of switch port state change
Is it possible to add an email notification for a switch port state change on Netgear cloud managed switches with insight please? Looks like Cisco Meraki can do this and it would be great to know if someone is connecting or disconnecting devices to the switch or if a LAN host has gone offline. Many thanks in advance Joe943Views4likes0Comments
