Insight Web Portal
61 TopicsInsight Captive Portal (Free)
You have added a much-improved Captive Portal option to Insight, but have failed to provide any option to retrieve the collected data, i.e. name, email, etc. I spent the time and went through and set it up only to subsequently spend hours trawling through the whole portal in detail and ultimately contacting support to discover that this "may be an option in a future release", which makes the whole thing pointless and a waste of time. I suggest that you at least make a note on the portal to state that the feature is incomplete, although it would be far preferable to provide access to the data collected!9Views0likes0CommentsEasier to assign device credits
We recently had to apply device credits for the first time and were unable to locate the way to do it in the Premium version. After working with Support (Thanks Dennis H.) He informed me on where the "Managed" toggle switch was under devices and we then had to scroll to the side to find it. I would like to see the toggle to be closer to the Credit Status. This way it is easy to see and activate when needed, for those that may only need to access this section a once or twice a year. Thanks and happy computing.68Views0likes0CommentsAllow to rename Clients
It would be immensely helpful to be able to add/edit names of client devices. It would be heck of a lot easy to figure out what each device is... Should be whatever system gets by default and then allowing user to edit, so I can name something like "Printer by Coffee machine"4.7KViews24likes8CommentsIdea: Social Services Status Check Platform

Hi, In France, we must be able to provide our internet wifi logs for 1 year. With or Without captive portal. I know we can do it with captiv portal (web history). But actually we can not do it if we don't use captive portal. I can find in the management interface of wifi access point WAXxxx the possibility to activate "url tracking" but logs doesn't stay for a long time and we need to connect to each wifi access point to find and download them. We know we can do it with snmp too but custommers will need a new system to manage it. It coudl be very useful to have the possibility to activate url tracking from insight. By this way we could have the possibility to generate the web history (internet logs) for all access points/devices/SSID without captive portal. Captiv portal is not ergonomic for inside machine and users. Thanks in advanced fir your reply2.6KViews3likes2CommentsInsight portal improvement: warn if adding device but out of site credits
If you are new to Insight and setting up a new site, and don't realize which devices come with insight credits vs. don't, you may add a device when the site is already out of credits which results in failure of the device to ever register successfully to the site. You will just see "not accessible" in the status of devices list. This is not intuitive UX. The system should warn you e.g. "This site has 0 available device licenses. You won't be able to manage this device until you allocate credits, delete it, and re-add." Esp since simply allocating and rebooting doesn't fix; you seem to have to delete and re-add the SN after allocating credits. This is a very poor workflow and just cost us an hour on hold waiting for support wondering whether a new insight managed switch was defective.1.1KViews0likes0CommentsPR60X allow reordering of firewall rule(s) by priority number
Enhance the UI to allow for reordering the priority of one or multiple firewall rules by: 1 - Selecting one of more firewall rules to be reordered. 2 - Providing a pop-up list of existing priority numbers so the user can choose at which position to insert the rule(s). See mock-up below.905Views0likes0Comments
