Hi everyone, I recently got a Netgear Nighthawk M1 (Model: MR1100-1TLAUS - Telstra) from a friend. I am looking for a solution to manually update the firmware, as the OTA function is not picking up the latest version. Device Details: Current Firmware: NTG9X50C_10.25.01.00 Netgear Initial Firmware: NTG9X50C_10.25.01.01 Target Firmware: I want to upgrade to the latest version NTG9x50C_12.06.08.00. The Issue: Since I cannot update via the WebUI My Question: Has anyone successfully updated a Telstra unit from version 10.25.01.00 directly to 12.06.08.00? I have tried manually updated via WebUI but it showed error 16 Any guidance on the correct procedure to force this update would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Settings - setup - Mobile Router Setup ... turn off wifi tethering is not marked
Hi all. "Settings - setup - Mobile Router Setup ... turn off wifi tethering is not marked" turned out to be my problem even though it's not the solution to the Original Poster's problem. I have no idea how that setting was ever changed. The only thing I remember doing was replacing the router's battery (after which the router stopped being detectable by nearby devices such as my phone). Thanks Ksa3344 who suggested this. It saved me a lot of grief.I just updated the firmware and got thes on my router, now I cannot connect my apple devices anymore
Hi, I just updated the firmware and got thes on my router, now I cannot connect my apple devices anymore. I cannot find anything about this version and on the website the latest version is 12.06.11.00 - I downloaded the official version from the website and to manually update the firmware, but always get an error: invalid update file error code 16 I´m really lost - what shall I do?LM1200 - SMS Alerts
I've been using the Netgear LM1200 as 4G failover since May 2025 with everything working perfect. Every month I perform a test to confirm failover and sms alerts still working as usual, however for the past few days and several tests I'm not receiving the text alert for any event. When logged into the LM1200 settings page, a popup does indicate message was sent - just not receiving text notification at any number I assign. Any tips or feedback would be appreciated!!Loss of IP connectivity
This old thread doesn't seem to reach a conclusion and I am experiencing similar problems with a Netgear Nighthawk M1 running firmware version NTG9X50C_12.06.39.00 In my case the M1 is getting it's IP address from the 4G mobile network operator. Because the DHCP request from the M1 is going out over the LTE interface I have no way of using wireshark to see what is actually happening. As the M1's admin interface does not appear to allow me to see the detail of the lease assigned to it I am unable to identify DHCP lease renewal as being the root cause. As the M1 does not allow me to do the equivalent of IP config /release /renew my only recourse is to either wait for it to mysteriously start working again, or reboot the M1. Around midnight on most nights, when the M1 has a Vodafone UK SIM in it, I experience loss of IP connectivity to the wider internet. At no point is there any evidence that the 4G signal has dropped. If I wait long enough, then data packets start reaching their destination again. If I reboot the M1, then data packets start reaching their destination as soon as the reboot completes. Oddly, when the M1 has an EE UK SIM in it I do not experience the same regular loss of connectivity. This makes me wonder whether Vodafone has implemented a much shorter lease time (24 hours) than EE, or whether the interpretation and implementation of DHCP is subtly different between the carriers (assuming DHCP is the root cause). Any ideas - or ideally a fix - would be great.
