My device has worked for me in the past, but sometimes it's drops and won't reconnect. It happend once before and I was able to get it back up an running. Today I tried to go to routerlogin.net and .com, along with 192.168.168.1 but all of them gave me the same message You are not connected to your Router’s WiFi network. To access routerlogin.net, your device must be connected to your Router’s WiFi network. Check your current connection and try again. I have tried this wired and on wifi, I have tried Chrome, Firefox, & IE. I have cleared my cache. Each time it won't work. The device is less than 5 feet from the router. Currently it is connected by a wire from my home router and the light for Internet is off. Anyone have any other ideas I can try?520Views0likes1CommentUsing N300 Wifi Range Extender to connect Sony Bravia 46EX520
I have connected the N300 to the Sony Bravia TV 46EX520. The TV indicates Internet Connectio but wont update software via download and shows an internet error message. I am wondering if the TV settings have the correct IP Addrees, SUbnet MAsk, Default Gateway, Primary DNS, Secondary DNS. I'm not sure what they should be. Appreciate any help. Hi there, I've had a EX2700 N300 Wifi Range Extender for some time and it's been working fine. It's situated upstairs in my room and the main router is downstairs in the living room. Suddenly my devices cannot access the internet through it. All the lights are green indicating it's connected to the router and devices but the download speeds I'm getting are between 0.01-0.20mbps and uploads are 0.00-0.01 so I'm not able to do anything online upstairs at the moment. I haven't updated to firmware, to see if that helps, as I don't have a laptop to download it onto. Do you know of another way I can update its firmware or anything else you can suggest I try to get the usage back? I"m at the end of my rope with Netgear!! Here is the problem. I have an existing network that's been up and running for over twenty years. I currently (last few years) use a Netgear WGR614V9 router. It has the most recent updates. I just purchased a Netgear N300 Wifi range extender model EX2700. No matter what I try, I can't get the extender to pair with the router. The instructions say I can press the wps button on the extender and within two minutes push the wps button on the router. Unfortunately, I can't find a WPS router button and it's not mentioned in the manual. I've followed option 2 a number of times, resetting the extender (safety pin while the extender is plugged in and on) after each failed attempt. At no point has the router light on the extender been lit. I tried plugging in to an outlet shared with the router. My router has the most up to date firmware and is less than half a foot from the extender. On mywifiext.net site, I select my existing network and enter the password. Then I choose to use the same password for the extended network. It correctly shows mynetwork_EXT as an available network and I can log onto it from several machines (iPad, laptop with Windows and with Linux) but without internet access. The problem begins when I get to a screen about attaching devices to the extended network and clicking continue. At the point, it simply chugs away for a bit and then returns to the login screen for the primary network. Hopefully, someone can explain why it's NOT WORKING as it's supposed to. :-( I've also added the mac address to a reserved ip as well as setting my network to only allow specific equipment by MAC address BUT that is clicked OFFED for now. I usually do that whenever I install anything new. Please let me know if you need any other information. Thank you very much!707Views0likes1CommentN300 stopped working
hi. my netgear n300 stopped working tonight. I have had inconsistent connection issues but this was the last issue. now I'm stuck. I had issues on original installation in that I remember i had to reset the password as the router password would not work. tonight I've tried using the new password and it states it's invalid. it isn't....i wrote it down. all devices would not connect where as they did previously. I've set it back to factory settings and tried to connect again. it find the router but I can connect with any password. I'm assuming the password should again now be that of the router. this time i can't reset the password as www.mywifiext.net doesn't display the log in screen. I assume this is where I previously reset the password. can anyone help before I smash it to pieces? thanks leky2.7KViews0likes1CommentWN3000RPv2 Firmaware image missing

Im trying to extend the router to my bedroom however I have to go to settings on my phone (Sony Xperia Z3), Wifi, Settings then WPS push button evertime to connect. If I try normally it comes up with Authentication problem (tried the password many a time - works on the main router but not on the N300). And when trying to install my Chromecast to the tv in my room there's no sign of it at all! So after all that i tried to register with Netgear however it states that I may have the wrong serial number and cant submit - ive tried the MAC, serial number and WPS PN too. Much appreciated for any help to the donkey here!! Cheers2.1KViews0likes1CommentN300 (EX2700) faulty connection & device link light
My neighbor and I share wifi using extenders and the main router is located in their home. I have an N300 connected to their NETGEAR R6300v2 2.4Ghz connection and the internet connection has become very slow and unstable. At one point it worked flawlessly. Something I noticed that is very odd is the device link light. All lights are green but the device link tends to turn amber and red when I use my iPhone 6 on the extender in the same room and the connection is slow and unstable. When I connect my 2013 MacBook Pro to the extender, the device link stays green but the connection is still slow. The extender is on channel 1 while the main router is on "auto". The main router has 6 devices attached. I've tried changing channels and updating firmware but the connection remains the same or gets worse. The main connection seems to work better when the extender is off. I've checked the NETGEAR Genie for the extender and it says everything is working properly. What could be the issue?4.1KViews0likes2CommentsN300 keeps disconnecting

Need simple help to set up
Hello, I'm pretty computer and networking savvy, have set up all sorts of networks and home routers and wifi in the past with no problems. Got this Netgear Trek N300 PR2000 as a present thinking I could connect at a hotel with wifi for only one login to their wifi, then connect several other devices, either wirelessly, or through the ethernet port. Seems like it should be simple, so I must be missing something. Instructions aren't clear or I don't follow the terminology properly. I think I should be able to plug this into the wall, switch to wired setting, vs. wireless. Then connect my computer via the ethernet LAN port and get an IP address so I can access the built in webserver for more setup. I can NOT get an ip address. Tried the wired option and plugged into both internet and LAN port, and same for wireless. Can not get an IP address (Windows 7 Pro). I've done the reset via the button several times (holding for more than 10 seconds). I was even given another one of these from a friend who couldn't get it to work and same thing, essentially nothing. What am I missing? Thanks, RichSolved5.8KViews0likes14Comments
