Hello, Overnight, the router's Web administration server became inaccessible: the port 80 was closed, but everything else was still functioning properly (Wi-Fi, local connectivity and Internet, etc.). I had to change the configuration of the router so I tried a simple factory reset: the configuration of the router had been successfully reset, but I still do not have access to the administration Web interface. The router is now unusable since I cannot modify the configuration, and I can only use the router with the default configuration. I tried several techniques without success: factory reset, hard reset (30/30/30), TFTP (on Windows and Linux), connection by all LAN ports or by Wi-Fi, Netgear Genie, etc. Here is a nmap scan with all opened ports on the router: Host is up (0.0028s latency). Scanned at 2017-07-20 04:57:22 CEST for 6778s Not shown: 65527 closed ports PORT STATE SERVICE VERSION 53/tcp open domain dnsmasq 2.15-OpenDNS-1 548/tcp open afp Netatalk 2.2.5 (name: WNDR4500v2; protocol 3.3) 1990/tcp open tcpwrapped 5000/tcp open tcpwrapped 5916/tcp open unknown 8200/tcp open tcpwrapped 20005/tcp open btx? I saw another person with the same problem but there is no solution: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2988795/netgear-wndr4500v2-wireless-router-issues.html What can I do? Is the bug known? Thank you. EDIT: OK, just found this thead: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Wireless-N-Routers/WNDR4500v2-Router-Recovery-Using-UART-Serial-Converter/m-p/1296073#M25997 I will try this if no one has a better idea here :)SolvedWNDR4500 Stopped Working | Power Blinking Green, Internet Solid Amber
My WNDR4500 Stopped Working for past few weeks. Power LED is Blinking Green and Internet LED is Solid Amber. All other LEDs are dead (2.4 GHz Wifi, 5 GHz Wifi, USB1 and USB2). Ethernet LED glows though if I connect router LAN port to my laptop Ethernet port. I researched the internet and tried few things but could not succeed. I am given to understand that my firmware is corrupt. Don't know how I can bring it back to functioning. I tried this: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19841/~/reinstall-the-firmware-on-a-router-without-the-setup-cd-recovery-tool Perhaps, I don't know how to access the router now over the wired connection to install the firmware afresh. Please help Thanks.SolvedRouter login issues
Hello, So I am having a very frustrating issue logging into my router. I cant seem to login to my router using ip address or routerlogin.net after a certain amount of time. If I reboot my router, I can login without any issues, do whatever I need to do and all is well, but it seems like after a while, my router time out and then I can login access the page... I get a "This Page is not Available" in Chrome. I have tested with Chrome, Safari Firefox (on both Mac and PC, on 2.4 and 5.ghz connection, as well as hardwired directly into the router). I have also tested same settings on a IBM machine, including using IE Internet seems to be running fine, (I can even ping the default gateway) but every time I create a new VM on my test server I need to assign it a static IP address and need to login, and hate that I have to keep rebooting my router to doit. Is there a setting or something I am missing? thanks in advance for any help.Solved
