PLW1000 turns on lamp
When I plug in and power up the PLW1000 it triggers the touch lamp that's on the same circuit. Here's what I know and/or have tried. putting a magnet clip-on thing onto the lamp's cord no different circuits in the room. Just the one. moved the PLW1000 to a different room (different circuit) and it works fine but range is not as good. Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks
Powerline Adapter PLP1200 shows up as "unidentified connection"
I got my first powerline because I hated the wireless life. With the new powerline, I installed and prepared it using the instructions from the manual. After hold the security button for two seconds on each adapter, the power light is flashing like it should be and once every light turns green, the computer detects it as "Unidentified Connection". Also, looking at the Network Connections section I see a new device called "Ethernet" with "Realtek PCIe GBE family controler. While connected to the adapter, I am able to access SOME websites like google, youtube etc. I'm not even connected to my wireless! But if I were to goto a website like speedtest.net (I wanted to compare speeds between wireless vs wired vs powerline wired) it takes forever to "connect" and doesn't load/ connect to the page at all.
