Powerline Adapter PLP1200 shows up as "unidentified connection"
I got my first powerline because I hated the wireless life. With the new powerline, I installed and prepared it using the instructions from the manual. After hold the security button for two seconds on each adapter, the power light is flashing like it should be and once every light turns green, the computer detects it as "Unidentified Connection". Also, looking at the Network Connections section I see a new device called "Ethernet" with "Realtek PCIe GBE family controler. While connected to the adapter, I am able to access SOME websites like google, youtube etc. I'm not even connected to my wireless! But if I were to goto a website like speedtest.net (I wanted to compare speeds between wireless vs wired vs powerline wired) it takes forever to "connect" and doesn't load/ connect to the page at all.

I'm not sure you're getting an internet connection at all (the Google and youtube pages could simply be from your Cache).
You shouldn't be connected to your wireless if you are using powerline adapters correctly.
Can you explain how each adapter is connected?
One should be plugged into a lan port of your router by one of the ethernet cables, and the other plugged into your PC

I have a powerline attached to one of the 4 lan ports on my gateway (modem+router) which is a NVG599 and the adapter is connected to an outlet. From there my second adapter connects to an outlet near my PC, which has a msi 970A-G43 motherboard and that motherboard has its own lan port. Not to mention I did have the wireless off.

All seems to be connected ok. Are you able to plug both the PLP1200 units in the same room / double socket to check if they work ?
