I have a powerline attached to one of the 4 lan ports on my gateway (modem+router) which is a NVG599 and the adapter is connected to an outlet. From there my second adapter connects to an outlet near my PC, which has a msi 970A-G43 motherboard and that motherboard has its own lan port. Not to mention I did have the wireless off.

All seems to be connected ok. Are you able to plug both the PLP1200 units in the same room / double socket to check if they work ?

I've connected both devices with their respective powerline in the same room and it would work. I've also changed the recieving device to a PS3 instead of a Computer and I get the same results. I can't connect to my PSN account while wired.

are all 3 lights green when you connect them both in the same room?

Yes, also, whe the PS3/computer is off, the powerline adapters goes into powersaving mode. So I believe they are working.
