RN-104 Admin Password was lost, performed OS Reinstall from boot menu as instructed by forum users.Admin password is now recovered but all shares have dissapeared from Readynas, The disks still show the same percentage usage so im guessing the data is still intact on disk but all shares are lost, when i try recreating s share with the same name and path as one i previously had i get an error message saying it could not be created, howver if i try and create a share with a name i never previously used it works fine. Also readycloud service is degraded and will not connect. How can i go about rescuing my Data from the drives ? 4x2TB drives formatted in a JBOD array. Hi I have a ReadyNas that has root "problem". The ReadyNas has 2 disks consisting of data that I do not want to lose. I have read that I should do a OS reinstall. After that has been done I get a meny in the prog. RAIDar that says "install". Should I do the installation with my existing disks inside the ReadyNas or should they be removed during the installation? I do not want to lose any data..... My aim is to be able to access the disks after I have done the reinstallation of the OS, Correct? Thanks in advance and Best Regards / Per3KViews0likes2CommentsReadyNAS DUO OS Reinstall cannot see data
Our Duo V1 had a fixed IP address that became defunct when the router was replaced. I did an OS Reinstall (paper click on the reset button and single flash of the lights), and I allowed the firmware to update to 4.1.14. Now I am told we have no data. There was no way to back up until the machine could see the network... Is all that data gone? Thank you -- Tony4.4KViews0likes4CommentsReadyNas Duo V2 - After restart, nothing works
Hi guys, After restarting my ReadyNas Duo V2, I lost all my acces (SMB, DLNA, SSH, Dashboard). I perform an OS reinstall by boot menu, but nothing changes. I tested open ports from my Neywork, only telnet port (23) is open. I tried to connect, but i can't find the credentials... I don't know what to do. I think about perform a factory boot, but I don't want to loose my data, and don't have nothing to backup it for the moment. Someone can help me ? Thanks Lucos3KViews0likes7CommentsResetting OS, disk leds do not flash OS not reset.
Hi All, ReadyNAS duo V2. Lost password that'll teach me to neglect back ups;) I tried the OS reinstall, turn off, hold in reset button, turn on and wait for flash of leds. What happens is the leds come on after five seconds and stay on. I have left the reset button pressed for up to 20 seconds to no avail. THe result is that the ReadyNAS doesn;t boot up, the power switch is ineffective so I have to pull the plug. When I turn it on it can be seen by Raidar bt not accesed without the old passwqord. The default netgear1 does not work. Any Idears? Thanks for your time.Solved3.7KViews0likes9CommentsReadyNAS 2100 OS reinstall - does shared permissions reset too?
So i inherited someones job from someone who went rogue and apparently he ended up changing the admin password on our ReadyNAS 2100. They have a permissions group setup where only leads have admin rights to certain folders, etc etc, and normal users having access to other folders. So I am going to need to reinstall the OS and my question is, the permissions that were setup initially, i'm assuming these permissions will be removed? Going to have to reset the permissions again for these users? Apparently, they run daily backups so I'm hoping the configurations are setup correctly so that I can just restore them. Just needing input.Solved5.3KViews0likes3Comments
