The D6400 has the concept of a Guest network where you can set whether wireless devices on the Guest network can talk to each other and access the LAN with the setting "Allow guests to see each other and access my local network", but there is nothing (that i have found so far) to enable this same feature for wired devices. I have a few devices that are wired that i would like to provide internet access only and not be able to talk to each other or any other device on the LAN, so effectively adding them to the Guest network. Please could you implement some advanced / extra options in the LAN Setup IP Address Reservation of static IP addresses? Maybe something like some tick boxes to enable : - Allow access to the internet - Allow access to other devices on the LAN This way it would be flexible enough to have devices on the router which can have only internet access, only LAN access or both internet and LAN. Maybe for those that need extra flexibility add the option to enable / disable internet / LAN access on a schedule. Thank you. Hi, new to the community looking for options :) I’ve got the GS724TPv2 PoE+ across 24 ports plus 2 extra 1000 BASE-X empty slots, the extra 2 x 1000 BASE-X empty slots I don’t plan on using and wondering if they can be utilized for a similar purpose to plug to a NAS with patch cables. Online, I find that there are options for 1000 BASE-T transceiver modules in RJ45 to run patch cable to other devices (if possible?). Million dollar question, can the 1000BASE-T SFP Copper RJ-45 Transceiver Module be plugged in a 1000BASE-X slot? I'd like to use them as connections to my ReadyNAS. Thanks, YasSolved1.6KViews0likes2Comments
