PLP1200
3 TopicsPowerline 1200 Adapter: All green lights, computer can't detect internet
Hello, I purchased a PLP1200 about 2 months ago, and for the first month it worked...Ok. On occasion it cut out and id have to get my landlords to reset the modem or the resync the device. I then went travelling for a month and therefore did not use it. Since my return, I have had to ask my landlords to reset the modem and or the device nearly every other day for the past 3 weeks because my computer was not detecting internet. All my devices that ran on WiFi were not affected therefore leaving me to believe it was not the modem. So here's the situation: How often: Every time I turn on my computer, and every so often in the middle of me watching netflix, or streaming, or online gaming. Information: All lights are solid green on the device. I do have a power bar plugged into it (as it has the input), where I connect all my other devices, computer, ps4, xb1, switch, both monitors. Age: No more than 3 months I feel like I'm over using the internet, like the device can't handle what i'm doing downloading games on steam, or streaming to twitch, or uploading to youtube, or watching netflix. Computer does not even recognize the device. "No internet connection detected" PLEASE HELP, this is incredibly frustrating. Thank you, Mitch3.7KViews0likes1CommentSet-Up PLP1200 with existing PL1200
I have a PL1200 that works great. However I need one more adaptor for another device. So I purchased a PLP1200 which comes with two units (I think they are called adaptors). Before setting them up I called Netgear Complimentary support (free 90 days after purchase) to make sure I am doing everything correctly. They said to just plug one of the PLP1200 units in an outlet and keep the old existing PL1200 connected to the router via ethernet cable. Doing that I received no internet signal (Unidentified network) at the end of the new PLP1200. Long story short, they had me move the new PLP1200 unit to a different outlet, then try the second PLP1200 unit, do factory resets, press the security button, etc. All with the same result of not being able to identify the network and get internet to my device. Then they suggested going back to the store, return the new PLP1200 and get anothr one, same model. Which i did today. But in case I did something wrong in the set-up process, how do I do it right with the replacement PLP1200? Thanks,Solved1.4KViews0likes1CommentPLP 1200 not working on PC
I have just had this issue with my new PLP1200 I bought a month ago. The lower led (Pick A Plug LED) varies from On to Green but doesn't let my PC connect via ethernet. I have the other Adapter set at the Modem and this other one connected to my PC. I have tried Factory Reset, many many IpConfig solutions I have found online, but none seems to have worked. The problem solver does nothing (as always) and it still says Unidentified Network - No Internet Access1.2KViews0likes3Comments
