Change Genie Login Architecture on desktop version
NETGEARGenie logs in automatically. However, if parental controls are set up and being used on a home network or the computer, the controls are essentially open for anyone to shut off, because the application automatically logs in. I recommend adding architecture for loggin in to Genie on the desktop computer version or else adding a means to require a username and password before changes to the Parental Controls can be made. Unfortunately, the only alternative is to only maintain the moile app for controling the parental controls and then each time we need to utilize the Genie controls or functionality in the desktop version we must reinstall the program, make the changes or troubleshoot the issue and then delete it again. I really like the Access Control feature, which allows me to block access to internet for my childrens devices (selected by MAC address) during the night, while at the same time still allowing my wife and I to access internet. But, is there a way to have Access Control turn on/off automatically each evening? It seems that if you could just allow it to be connected with the existing Schedule feature this would be real simple to add. If this is not currently possible, can you PLEASE add this ability to the WNDR3400v3? Or is there a better way to do this?
