Hello everyone, I got a GS316EP switch with PoE, everything worked fine with 3 APs WAX610 but now there is no PoE anymore. GS316EP is on the newest firmware, I resetted it etc. APs are working fine if they are powered externally but not with PoE. I also ordered a PoE Tester and there is also no power over the cable. I also tested directly at the switch. PoE Settings for the port are standard: IEEE902 802.3at 30 W But the status (same for every port) shows deactivated, 0 V, 0 mA, Status: No Errors, 0 W but Temp 275 C°. Can someone help me out?32Views1like1CommentNetgear Switch GS324TP PoE not working
For several days I have been in trouble with my GS324TP (5,5 year old). I first noticed that Alexa (located in 2nd floor) stopped connecting to my wifi (we have a Fritzbox 7590 in the cellar) and a Ubiquiti Unifi AP AC Pro/Lite on each floor. Wifi (switch + access point) connection was frequently interrupted. I updated the switch's firmware from .38 to .44, made several resets... Nothing helps, the wifi - as well as the LAN connection - remained unstable and at the moment isn't working at all. At the switch der are only shining the upper leds, not one led in the poe row. Is it possible that the switch is over or has mainly problems with poe? I tried to connect my old notebook (which can be connected to lan cable) with a lan socket, the notebook reclaimed "no connection to internet".. Sorry for my english - haven't been using it for several years now... Any ideas how to fix this problem?Multiple PoE Downtime Schedules for a single Port
We have multiple WAX610 APs connected to GC728XP switches managed via NETGEAR Insight Pro 6.8.4.10. We had set up daily PoE-Downtimes for all the ports serving the APs to save energy during the night (10 pm to 6 am). To save even more energy we wanted to add additional PoE-Downtimes covering the weekend, so we only power the APs during regular office hours. We however got the message, that only one PoE-Downtime can be assigned to a certain port. If one tries to do it anyway the new PoE-Downtime is assigned to the port, but the old one isn't anymore. Is there a way to assign multiple PoE-Downtimes to a port or to define a single PoE-Dowtime in a way that energy is saved all the time outside normal office hours (Mo-Fr 6 am to 10 pm)?1.8KViews0likes2CommentsGS105PE PoE Daisy Chain
Hi, I need (or rather want :smileyvery-happy:) to install two switches in a place where there is no power. My existing network consists of an ASUS WiFi Router and not much else. My plan is as follows: Run power + data via a PoE+ Injector to the first GS105PE Run the second GS105PE off of PoE Passthrough from the first GS105PE Only run data (no power) from the rest of the available ports (PoE only needed to power the switches themselves). I hope this mockup will explain my theory: Will this work? Thanks in advance.SolvedTrouble Connecting VoIP phones with GS116v2 switchboard
Having trouble hooking up VoIP Phones to our GS116V2 switchboard. I plug in the ethernet cord and no lights no nothing. When I went through Netgear Troubleshooting they mentioned PoE complaince standards. I contacted the phone system and they are "Built-in auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet" I believe this phone system meets the complaince but it is still not working. Any idea would be greatly apprciated! Maybe the switchboard cannot be compatiable with VoIP phones?Solved1.7KViews0likes1CommentGS105PE - PoE Passthrough issue with Unifi Switch
Hi, I have a Unifi USW-8P-60 switch powering my GS105PE which works fine. However PoE Passthrough seems to be an issue, the LED on Port 1 keeps blinking and it doesn't power my Access Point which is PoE capable. Port 5 is showing an amber LED so should be able to power a bit over 7W according to the spec sheet. The AP I'm attaching uses 3-4W. The strange thing is that it worked when I upgraded the GS105PE to the latest firmware (v 1.5.0.4) but as soon as I had to reboot after I needed to install the new boot loader, it stopped working again. Kind regards, Wesley2.7KViews0likes3CommentsProSafe M4100-24G (GSM7224P) EPS POE
Does anyone have experience using the GSM7224P switch with the RPS4000 in EPS mode? The switch will seemlessly switch to the RPS if I pull the main power but seems unable to use the RPS4000 in EPS mode to get the 720W POE budget specified in the documentation. I've got the A/B switch on the back of the RPS4000 set to A, as specified in the manual, but other documentation seems to indicate that A is RPS mode and B is EPS mode. But, I didn't see any change when it was set to B either. Does anyone know what I have to do to get to the full 720W POE budget? Thanks1.9KViews0likes4Comments
