This may be more of an iOS question, but here goes: I have a ReadyNAS 314 and I'm using an iPhone 6 and/or iPad Air 2 running iOS 8.3 with Netgear's ReadyCLOUD app installed. I want to be able to upload individual files from iOS (mainly pictures and videos) using the ReadyCLOUD app. I do not wish to enable the Media Backup feature, but rather I'd like to be able to pick and choose which files I transfer to the NAS. At first, I assumed this functionality was simply beyond the capabilities of the ReadyCLOUD app, but I recently discovered that it is possible to upload individual files from within the iOS Messages app. Once you send or receive a picture or video in Messages, you can simply click the share icon and choose 'Open in RCLOUD'. This launches the ReadyCLOUD app and I'm able to select the exact upload location. Works perfectly! Problem is, I don't see the 'Open in RCLOUD' option available elsewhere in iOS (Photos, Mail, etc.) and I can't seem to find a way to add it. I'd really like to be able to use this feature to upload pics/vids without first having to send them to someone in a message. Has anyone else seen this issue? Does anyone know if it's possible to add 'Open in RCLOUD' to apps other than Messages? Seems odd that it would work so well in one app, yet be unavailable in others. I'm hoping it's just something I'm missing. Thanks in advance for any info on this issue!5.8KViews1like0CommentsReadyCLOUD Client : How to configure files to be ignored
Hello, I'm using ReadyNAS 104 and I have a question about the new ReadyCLOUD Client (Windows ver.). I'm using the sync feature of the ReadyCLOUD Client to sync files that I used to sync with ReadyNAS Remote and ReadyDrop. However, some files get ignored by the app that was properly synced with the old ReadyDrop. Some of the ignored files are : .emacs.d (folder) , .bashrc , .bash_aliases, .inputrc , etc... Obviously the ReadyCLOUD client seems to ignore files and folders that start with "." (a dot). Can any one please help me configure the app to sync files starting with "." as well? Perhaps there is a file like .gitignore somewhere? I couldn't seem to find it. I'm using ReadyCLOUD Client 1.6.5.25 on Windows7 and I have a ReadyNAS104. Thanks.5KViews1like3CommentsReadyCLOUD Backup PC Folder
I have tried to look for in-depth information about the setup of the new ReadyCLOUD PC client, and didn't get very far. I have setup a user client and connection to my NAS (RN312, 6.2.0) is OK, but when I go to the 'Backup PC Folder' link on the client machine (Win7) I am met with a selection of potential directories which I can choose from......but I don't want those ones, I want to choose another one....How do I accomplish this? Hi I am wondering what the normal time is for the ReadyCloud desktop application to connect via VPN mode. Everything works fine but when I log in from my office, hotel room or any other remote network the connection time is about 4-7minutes before I can access my ReadyNas at home. Is this a normal waiting time? As soon as I am connected I get great upload and download speed so I don't think it has to do with my broadband connection at home. Any suggestions to improve this?3.4KViews1like0Comments
