I'm trying to do a "OS re-install" on my "ReadyNAS DUO v1" and I have found the "How do I access the boot menu on my ReadyNAS Duo / NV / NV+ / X6/600?" As I read the paper a "OS re-install" (NOT affecting the data on the disc !) is done thie way: 1) the system has power ON and running normally 2) the reset switch is pressed for 5 sec and the released the text says something about a LED that will flash 1 time - what LED - I have a LED in the power button, an ACT and one for each drive 1 and 2 ? Can somebody please teach me in this - doing a OS re-instal ?4.7KViews0likes7CommentsCan't ping 1fichier.com

I may be missing something very simple here but I can't seem to view the size of a share or any folder via the web admin -> shares menu. When using the list view, there are 4 columns;Name, Type, Size and Date. From a top level view, 'Size and 'Date' are blank for all my shares. Going one level down i.e. click on a share name, the size is still blank but the date field is now populated. What am i missing?10KViews1like16CommentsSpurious UPS Alert?
My first post on the forum, though been a lurker for sometime :) I have installed a ReadyNAS Duo for a small office and also supplied an APC UPS BK350EI (a.k.a. CS-350) Everything is working fine however two weeks after the UPS was installed I have received an email alert:- UPS battery error. Please replace the battery The strange thing is the UPS front panel "Replace Battery" LED is not lit. Has anyone had problems with similar spurious/strange UPS alerts?3.4KViews0likes10CommentsNAS Utils for iPhone/iPad Beta
Hey everyone! Following up on the huge success of NAS Utils for Android, I've been hard at work on an iPhone version! It's been a long time coming, but I should have a basic version ready to go in a couple weeks. I'd like to get this in front of a few people and get some feedback before publishing to the app store. Send me your email address (via PM) if you want to participate, and I'll let you know when I have a beta ready. Thanks, Mike8.5KViews0likes34CommentsTwo ReadyNAS boxen not recognized by Windows 10 Preview
Hi all, I have two ReadyNAS boxen on my system, an old DUO and a newer 102. I have Windows 10 Preview running in a VM and it will not connect to either NAS. They do not show up under "Network", which they do under Windows 7. The are visible under "Storage" but error out when I attempt to connect (Error 0x80004002: No such interface supported and https://192.168.1.9/admin, displayed twice). entering \\NAS or \\Media-NAS into the address bar yields "Windows cannot access \\NAS, check the spelling, etc" Error code 0x80004005 Unspecified error. If I put in the IP address of either box I can access the control panel interface using my browser but I cannot access resources on it. I also need to provide a permanent security exception to each RAID box. I am running Radiator 4.1.1.4 firmware on the DUO and 6.2.4 on the 102. I need to solve this before the Windows 10 rollout, which will update all ten PCs in my home/home-office. Thanks in advance. EDIT: After trying a few times with the Media-NAS (the 102), it is showing up normally under Network. But the DUO is not. I have CIFS and AFS protocols enabled on the Duo. Cannot go any further with the Duo, which is severely problematic since that's where my non-media backups and business files are located.17KViews0likes25CommentsMoving disks from Readynas Ultra 2 to RN314
Hi, I’ve just bought a RN314 to replace my Readynas Ultra 2. Can I put my two 2tb x-raided drives from my ultra 2 straight into my new RN314 without loosing any data ? I’ve also bought 2 fresh 4tb drives to add to the additional 2 bays to make a total of 6tbs of raided space. Will this work ? Cheers Dan3.8KViews0likes13CommentsInvited cloud user gets no registered devices
RN10400 OS 6.1.4 2x3TB WD Red I have set up the above machine successfully using the readycloud discovery process and have no problem accessing it using the admin user via readycloud or any of the relevant iOS apps. My problem is this: I invited another user to access my NAS using the Manage tab of readycloud. That user responded to the email and set up a readycloud account, which is now visible on the Manage tab of readycloud, if one is logged in as the admin user. However when the invited user logs into readycloud, no NAS is visible and the text "Currently you have no registered or shared devices". How do I get my NAS to show up for that user? The invited user has all the services (readycloud, remote, readydrop) appear after the user's name under the Account tab, Cloud Users section, exactly as they do for the admin user. However, only the admin user can see the NAS when logged in through the cloud. Also, while the admin user can log in to the NAS directly, using its IP address in a browser, the invited user cannot log in that way at all! Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, or not doing at all?7.9KViews0likes38CommentsRN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstalling app
