Invited cloud user gets no registered devices
RN10400 OS 6.1.4 2x3TB WD Red
I have set up the above machine successfully using the readycloud discovery process and have no problem accessing it using the admin user via readycloud or any of the relevant iOS apps.
My problem is this: I invited another user to access my NAS using the Manage tab of readycloud. That user responded to the email and set up a readycloud account, which is now visible on the Manage tab of readycloud, if one is logged in as the admin user. However when the invited user logs into readycloud, no NAS is visible and the text "Currently you have no registered or shared devices". How do I get my NAS to show up for that user? The invited user has all the services (readycloud, remote, readydrop) appear after the user's name under the Account tab, Cloud Users section, exactly as they do for the admin user. However, only the admin user can see the NAS when logged in through the cloud.
Also, while the admin user can log in to the NAS directly, using its IP address in a browser, the invited user cannot log in that way at all!
Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, or not doing at all?

- BrianM1950AspirantBump. Anybody got a clue?
- Retired_MemberHi.

What FW are you running?
Did you follow the instructions on this link?
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22783- schwizerAspirant
Also the same issue here with user seeing no registered devices and followed the instructions on the linked website.
- WickedfliesAspirantSame here, any body out there know what's up?
- WickedfliesAspirantThat article only explains how to add users. I'm pretty sure the posters here already passed that step. The issue is the ready cloud portal does not display the files and folders for invited cloud users as expected. And users are faced with a "no registered devices or shares" page.

Hi Wickedflies,
Is it the same case when you login in as admin?

Hi BrianL,
I read this story because I have the same issue sinds the beginning. I never used it and didn't have any attention to it. I started with RAIDiator 4.2.17!
But now I really want to use it at all, but when I want to use it:
http://readycloud.netgear.com/ --> I get the massage: currently you have no registered or shared devices.
I tried a lot of thing but without any success (also rebooted the NAS), I'm using now RAIDiator 4.2.28.
http://readycloud.netgear.com/client/index.html#page=discoverdevices
When I use this I get "No Devices Discovered"
Today I used the "RAIDar.exe" and seems I got a healthy (green) system, but still can't use ReadyCloud.
I created user account and deleted but no success..
Remark:
As u descripted int this community login as user Admin, this is only to manage the hole system and so on.
But not for user ReadyCloud.
I use Chroom as Internet Explorer to see if I cloud see any difference, but the answere is simple "No, there is no difference!"
Do you have any simple idea how to solve this small issue?
I followed the setup procedure as descipted by Netgear.
Regards,
Klausn
- WickedfliesAspirantNo admin log in goes through fine. Just invited users cannot log in right or new users can't even complete registration.

Hi Wickedflies,
Thanks for the quick response. Can you tell us the Firmware running in your ReadyNAS unit? For the meantime, try toggling off/on the ReadyCLOUD service and re-enter your ReadyCLOUD ID as admin. Then try to re-invite the users using their correct associated email addresses.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
BrianL

- WickedfliesAspirantI'll try that and ask the existing users to try and log in. Again. I'll get back to you about this
- WickedfliesAspirantFirst make sure that your Nas is actually connected to the internet. It needs to be able to communicate with the cloud servers. You can check this by logging into the management page of the Nas. Once there look for a tab thats says cloud. Once there check if you have both check marks. Mine didn't the first few days when I had it. But then I realized it wasn't connected to the net.

Also that you remembered to configure the DNS server (which is on a different tab).

Hi klausn,
Have you tried the suggestion that Wickedflies gave? I am pretty sure that this feature works with no problem. You can send me a PM for some screenshots of your settings for me to see what's wrong.

Hi Wickedflies,
Thanks for sharing some tips. It appears that you can now access your ReadyNAS device through ReadyCLOUD.
Let me know if you have other questions.

- WickedfliesAspirantWell.. i haven't verified anything yet as far as the error: "no registered devices" none if my cloud users have tried to access the Nas box yet.
