First make sure that your Nas is actually connected to the internet. It needs to be able to communicate with the cloud servers. You can check this by logging into the management page of the Nas. Once there look for a tab thats says cloud. Once there check if you have both check marks. Mine didn't the first few days when I had it. But then I realized it wasn't connected to the net.
