I have two Netgear WAC 510 acess points (AP) connected to a Nighthawk R7000 wireless router. My two APs are connected and powered by POE to a 48 port Netgear switch. Everything is working fine which I know is an odd way to start a conversation with this community. Today I decided to check the firmware version of my APs. I logged in to them and both were at version 4.0.7.3. I clicked the box to check for updates and the reply I got back was there were no updates available. I doubted that because I have not accessed those APs in over 6 years. I checked the Netgear Product Support pages for the WAC 510. The latest Firmware and MIB version is 9.9.6.8. There are 56 updates for Firmware and MIB from where I am at 4.0.7.3!! A few questions for the Community: Why didn't the hardware automatically get those updates as they came out an apply them? If it's not broke, don't fix it. Should I just leave things alone and wait a year until I am ready to upgrade to WiFi 7? If there is a reason to take on this firmware upgrade task (times two APs), is there an easier way to get from 4.0.7.3 to 9.9.6.8 than applying each update in order?? Hey all! So I have my USB hard drive connected to my R7000 and set up a ready cloud account. It shows my USB hard drive connected to it but when I click browse to view the files it doesn't show them at all in the web browser. It just flips me back to the R7000 icon instead of showing me a directory listing of what is on my USB hard drive. I checked to see if it works on the apple mobile app and I can browse all the files on my USB hard drive perfectly fine. Is anyone else having this issue? Thanks!8.5KViews0likes9CommentsR7000 Firmware Version 1.0.4.28 supports ReadyCLOUD

Anyone know when this feature is comming? The new firmware released today supports remote connection through netgenie, bit I have ready that readycloud is coming. On my readyshare tab on my router it says to setup readycloud go to Tue website, but no option on the router itself to enable it.10KViews0likes9CommentsReadyCloud seems not to be Ready...
Hi there, I was excited to check out the ReadyCloud feature included in the latest firmware update (1.0.4.28). However, it is - at best - half-baked. The Netgear ReadyCLOUD seems to be where you configure access to your networked files. After registering your external drive it takes a while before your folders become visible (perhaps the index is copied over to the ReadyCLOUD server?). Hereafter you will be able to navigate folders/files. It would seem we cannot share folder access (read and/or write access) only download of individual files (a right-click on a file will allow you to 'E-mail as a Link'). What I need is to allow streaming access to my movies as well as access to my calibre2opds version of our Calibre library. Under 'Manage' appears two categories for 'Users' and 'Shared Links'. I suppose that when you email a link, receivers will appear in the latter. But how does one define 'Users'? Through apps (e.g. the Android version of ReadyCLOUD) streaming should be possible. I've tried to stream a movie but it was very jerky... The ReadyCLOUD server for me is always very slow to respond.9.9KViews0likes4Comments
