R7960 Firmware update
Is there ANY possibility that Netgear will put thru a FIX for the R7960 router not being able to update its firmware? Mine has never worked and the links for a work around are well beyond my abilities and I am sure others too. I love the router but do not like the app or the 192.168.1.1 will not update to current functions etc. Just a shot in the dark here.Replacement for R7960 router
I have never been able to update the Nighthawk R7960 router firmware and it seems this model does have an issue with this function and the work around is beyond my abilities. I cannot use the iPhone app as it cannot find the router anymore since the app updated but I could always go to 192.168.1.1 but now that function does not update as to what is currently connected and if I try to update there it also cannot find my router. The router works great--just wont update. I fear it is only time that will cause it to crash all together. In preparation for that, can you advice me as to its replacement? I have only a one story house but it has plaster walls that are thick so an entry level router might not work. I would like something as easy to install as the Nighthawk was. I really do not want to spend over $150 if I can. We have only two people in the house but guests need access. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
