RND2000v2
2 TopicsRND2000-V2 cannot reset to select factory default
i have two RND2000-v2 that both are causing the same problem. Let me first say that i do not have the current password so i have to do a boot and default to factory settings. If i power up, with a good windows formatted disk in i get the flashing lights showing "bad boot Sector" i can power down normally. if i power up with no disks in i get the flashing lights showing no disk. i can power down normally. if i hold reset when powering up it seems to start up, the boot menu never appears, but after some time the power button continues to flash, and the activity led flashes, it will do this for hours. the boot menu never appears. what's more, i cannot power down using the power button. I can see the ip address assigned to the readynas, but i cannot access the front page, Raidar cannot see the Readynas either. whats worse its the same with two identical units. i can only conclude that i am doing something wrong as i just cannot get to the boot menu, any help would be appreciated, i just want to default to factory settings. HELP!!!Corrupt boot - Factory Reset not working
Hi! I have a the RND2000v2 and it will not load. Using the most up to date version of RAIDar it tells me I have a Corrupt Boot. Following the manual I attempt to do do either a Factory Reset or an OS Reinstall, However when I perform the following to access the boot menu we get an issue. Unplug the ReadyNAS as it will not turn off on its own. (or the power button) Insert paperclip and press the "Reset" button on the back Plug the ReadyNAS back in Hit the power button Wait for everything to illuminate (as per Step 4 of the Manual) ...Except it never does, no matter how long I hold just the rest button. It does not seem to go into the Boot menu What happens iwhile holding the reset; The power button constantly flashes, and every 10 seconds or so the other (act, Disk1 and Disk 2) lights illuminate momentarily. I have tired to relase the reset button at this point in hopes it would stay in the boot menu, but they all turn off when I remove the paperclip from the reset button. If I try to use the "Backup" button to navigate the menu of the Boot Option nothing happens. No configuration of HDD seem to matter. I have tried, only 1 HDD in a bay at at time, both bays filled. and both bays empty. Thanks in advance.Solved
